A Jam Packed Weekend!

I'm a hard-worker. I currently have 3 jobs (I extremely dislike winter, so I thought, why not get out of the house and make some extra cash in the gross weather?) so it's rare that I have a moment to myself. But I booked off last weekend for some fun!
Saturday morning woke up early to head to Halifax with my newly acquired friend. Gabby! We gabbed all the way down-over-up whatever it is to Halifax. Once we got there, we found a parking lot that's only $4, and pretty much on the water! SCORE! Then we realized it's free to park on the streets...
We started off in the Barrington Mall, found some sweet deals on scarves and jewellery! Then headed down to the waterfront mall, where there's a place that whitens your teeth for $99! I'm a bit skeptical since at the dentists it's like $800 but we investigated, and it sounded legit. But be wary of them telling you your teeth are a lot darker then they are so they can say you went up more shades! Also awesome, Black Magic. Full of African masks, trendy mirrors, clothes, jewellery and everything I love! Gabby had never had Thai food, so I intro'd her to Bubble Tea and Peanut Sauce on Vermicelli, both of which are my FAV's!
The real reason for the trip was to see Belly Dance Superstars at the casino. So we headed there and the show was amazing! They showcased many types of belly dances, from tribal to turkish, and the guy dislocated his arms to do moves (gross!) but cool!
On the ride home we were obviously tuckered out, and we realized that the Adam Lambert song For Your Entertainment works really well if you substitoot the meaning of the song for passing gas! All in all, it was a fabulous trip!
Sunday, went to a cheese party at my friend Kathleens. Her daughter wanted to have it, so why the heck not? I tried over 10 cheeses and the top fav's were Oka, Baked Brie and Gooda. I used to hate cheese, unless it's smothering a pizza, but how I've grown up now!
Later on checked out the latest Harry Potter... and in my opinion, this is the best one yet! Maybe it's because they're older and the humor is more adult-like, but it kicked butt!
Before the movie though, was a commercial for Coca-Cola with the polar bears, and at the end it says they support the bears being effected by the climate change. Now I'm sure back in 1993 when the first polar bear was in their commercials, they did not foresee the climate effecting them. So of course they have to help them now! I explained this to rommie Annie who then said "Is this what you think about in your spare time?" LMAO

  1. sounds like a great weekend! thanks for coming to the cheese party, it meant a lot to us and to summer!!! oh, and that coca cola vs polar bears comment? hilarious! its funny that a multibillion dollar corporation that is responsible for more plastic production then almost anyone else is pretending to help the polar bears by throwing a few measly thousand at the polar bears....and guess what needs to be done in order to donate to the bears? you have to buy more coca cola! SCAM!
