Haunted Places in New Brunswick

Bathurst
Baie des Chaleurs... Legend tells of a ship of settlers that was ambushed by the British Army who set it on fire! Year round people claim to see lights in the bay, and sometimes can make out people burning on the ship, but when they get closer the boat disappears.
Bathurst High School... Some believe there is a phantom that haunts the basement of the theatre stage.

Boiestown
The woods near this 15-acre museum are said to be the home of the mysterious Dungarvon Whooper, believed to be the ghost of a murdered logging-camp cook. Hunters and loggers have claimed to hear inexplicable blood-curdling howls here on cold, dark nights, allegedly the cries of the spirit angrily hunting for his killer.

Burnt Church
Burnt Church School... Some believe the school is built over a graveyard. People have heard many strange noises and experienced sinking feelings in the gymnasium and where the daycare used to be.

Fredericton
Christ Church Cathedral... The ghost of Margaret Medley (the wife of a past bishop) has been seen praying, walking, and doing other minor disturbances

Hillsborough
Grey Island Cemetery... There's a statue that looks at you with 'real' eyes and cries

Miramichi
The ghost of a headless nun is said to be seen walking across the footbridge that leads from one side of the cove to the other
St. Michaels Building... Voices can be heard on the stairs leading to the 2nd floor. A ghost in the girls bathroom in the basement disappears when you look in the mirror. Children laughing can be heard in the downstairs gym. A boy and girl haunt a room on the first floor.
St. Michaels Church... Childrens voices and a nun screaming can be heard
Skyway... people have seen over 100 ghosts here, the bathrooms are haunted, and believed that the ghost of a murderer is in the basement!

Moncton
Capitol Theatre... Legend says that when it was a movie theatre, a girl fell down a flight of stairs and died, and can be seen in the ticket booth late at night.
